HOW TO SEARCH BY JOB NUMBER
Make sure you are using Internet Explorer.
- Login to www.rayjobs.com with your registered email address & password.
- Click on Search Jobs.
- Type the specific job number (the 3 letter prefix followed by 6 numbers with no spaces) into the Position (Req ID) & Keyword Search field. Do not select any other search criteria when searching by job number.
- Click Search.
- If the position is still open, you will be taken directly to that specific position, and you can apply at that time.
Please Note: If you obtained the job number from a job board other than Rayjobs (ex. Hotjobs.com), you will need to remove the last three letters before searching by job number. For example, SAS100100HJO is SAS100100 in our system.
HOW TO REMOVE EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS
Due to Government OFCCP regulations, we are required to keep all submitted information, however, you do have the option to disable notification emails and stop all future automated correspondence from Raytheon.
To disable automated notification emails from Raytheon:
Make sure you are using Internet Explorer.
- Login to www.rayjobs.com with your registered email address & password.
- Click on the Create/Update your job profile and notification preferences link.
- Under the E-mail Notification Preferences section, de-select the box that is next to the "Send me e-mail when a job matches my profile" option.
- Click OK.
This will stop all automated job notification e-mails.
HOW TO UPDATE JOB PROFILE PREFERENCES
All notifications are sent automatically based on the job profile criteria that you selected for your profile when you registered.
As a registered applicant, you have the ability to change your profile to either search for more specific or more generic jobs. We recommend that you start with a broad search, only selecting location to start, and narrowing it down from there.
Make sure you are using Internet Explorer.
- Login to www.rayjobs.com with your registered email address & password.
- Click on the Create/Update your job profile and notification preferences link.
- From the My Job Profile and Notification Preferences screen, you have the ability to change your personal job profile to search for more specific or generic positions using the Job Preferences options.
- When finished, click the OK button to save your updated preferences.
HOW TO VIEW STATUS OF JOB SUBMISSIONS
As a registered applicant, you have the ability to check the status of your job submissions:
Make sure you are using Internet Explorer.
- Login into www.rayjobs.com using your registered email address & password.
- Click on the View Your Job Submissions link. This link will only be visible if you have successfully applied to a position.
- The status of the positions you have applied to will display.
Please Note: If position is not listed, you will need to complete the submission process for that position again.
Status Descriptions:
- Received – Resume has been submitted.
- Review – Resume has been reviewed.
- Not in Consideration (or No Interest/Declined) - Resume was reviewed, qualifications did not match requirements.
- Interview status – Hiring Authorities may email/contact to setup an interview.
- Blank (no status listed) - Some positions, including polar positions, will not have a status listed next to the job until a recruiter has reviewed your submission.
HOW TO UPLOAD A RESUME
Make sure you are using Internet Explorer.
After registering:
- Login to www.rayjobs.com using your registered email address & password.
- Under the Candidate Options screen, select the Manage your resumes link.
- Then select either of the following options:
Upload Resume – select this option if you want to upload an existing resume file.
- Enter a Resume Name.
- Select a Resume Language.
- Click Browse and select your resume document -The system supports Word, Text and PDF files with a file name of less than 50 characters.
- Click OK.
Enter Resume Text – select this option if you want to copy/paste your resume information as plain text.
- Enter a Resume Name.
- Select a Resume Language.
- Copy and paste OR manually enter your resume text into the Resume Text field.
- Click OK.
Your profile will be updated with the new resume.
